I've always been energized by the moment right before something comes to life. You know that feeling when an idea starts gaining momentum and suddenly everyone can see where it's headed? That's the work I've gravitated toward for as long as I can remember.
Over the last 15 years, that has looked different depending on where I was needed. I've opened brewery taprooms from the ground up, led teams of more than 20 employees, launched new programs, developed brands, built sales strategies that generated more than $2 million in annual revenue, facilitated strategic planning, organized community events, and helped organizations navigate growth. While the projects have varied, the role has always felt familiar: connect the dots, bring people together, and help move good ideas from conversation to reality.
What I enjoy most isn't sitting on the outside telling people what they should do. It's becoming part of the team. I like understanding how an organization works, what keeps people up at night, where the opportunities are hiding, and then helping build the momentum to make something happen. Some days that means leading a strategic planning session. Other days it means rolling up my sleeves, solving operational challenges, making introductions, or figuring out how to get an idea across the finish line. I don't mind getting into the weeds if it means the work gets done.
Six Dozen was born from the realization that I wanted to do that for more than one organization. Today, I partner with businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders across North Carolina, bringing together experience in operations, marketing, sales, leadership, and community building with one simple goal: to help good people build things they're proud of.
